The End of Diapers?

All right folks, please pray for us as we take Z down the crazy and unpredictable road of…potty training! We’re starting tomorrow to give us the weekend to “tag team.” What’s really scary is that even if Z is (mostly) out of diapers by the time the baby arrives…we’ll be right back in diapers up to our eyeballs. Wheeee….! :)

Survival of the fittest

This 8-minute unscripted video is better than anything “reality TV,” Disney, or any of the nature channels could come up with! Warning: not for the squeamish. This is nature at it’s most brutal (though there is a happy ending).

Costco vs. Sam’s Club

We’ve frequently had discussions with friends of our about the merits of warehouse memberships. Some folks swear by the products Sam’s Club offers, while we’ve always been partial (for no particular reason) to Costco. An article in the NY Times today makes me feel good that we shop there. They have great products, great prices, and – what is truly a great thing to learn – they pay employees very well and offer great benefits. Of course, this has business implications not the least of which are low turnover and theft. For any fellow “10 gallon tub of mayonnaise” shoppers out there, which do you prefer and why?
