Holographic projection is one of those technologies the world was just waiting for someone to invent. Just imagine the applications for guest speakers, universities, even virtual tourism. How would you use your own personal holographic video teleconferencing?

Dum da dum dum, dum da dum….

Oh yeah, he’s back folks! Mr. Harrison Ford is reprising the inimitable Dr. Indiana Jones for a May 2008 flick called “The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” Anyone remember watching Indiana for the first time? He was the man! And no matter how many

impostors try to recreate the professor-turned-treasure-hunter (um, the Mummy? Neat movie, but not even close to Jones). I’m hoping that this movie lives up to the others in the franchise, unlike the Star Wars “prequels.”
According to the sparse details on Yahoo! Movies, in this fourth installment it is the year 1957 as Indy ventures into the jungles of South America to beat Soviet agents (ah, there’s some classic bad guys to root against) to find the mystical Crystal Skull.
Visit the official site for downloads and news. We might need to schedule a date night to catch this in the theaters!
This new guitar from Gibson is very geeky cool! Pricey, too, but so worth it! Yes, Mr. Kurzweil, the Singularity is indeed near. This brief clip shows the self-tuning feature of this guitar:

Some of you may experience birds of prey on a regular basis, but we don’t. It’s not every day that a large winged creature crashes through your holly bush/tree, clasps its squirrel-lunch in its talons, and perches there, waiting for the little guy to stop struggling. But it happened just as Rebecca was passing underneath it and startled her just a bit. Extra credit: can anyone tell us what this bird is?
