Now that the scare of having the web site attacked has worn off, I’m ready to start posting again! So what’s new…

a little C smirk

a little C smirk

Starting from #4, C is doing great. She’s eating, sleeping, cooing… sometimes even laughing! And is usually ready to reward anyone with a huge smile!

R loves to read

R loves to read

R and Z are in full-swing homeschool mode (I think I promised a post about that…still forthcoming). Rebecca is teaching Z to read using the same book she used with R and Z is picking it up really well. R, meanwhile, has become a voracious reader and often forges ahead on her own learning tangents. As a learning professional, I love to see this. It means we’ve provided her with a suitable “learning environment” in which she can explore at her own pace (sometimes fast, sometimes slow) and direction (sometimes focused, sometimes random). Rebecca is using the Sonlight curriculum with R which incorporates history, literature, Bible study, and math. Both teacher and student seem to get a lot out of the structure and content of the program!

M gets puzzled

M gets puzzled

M is slowly learning to be patient while her sisters are “in school.” She’s still not talking a whole lot, but she’s an amazing jumper – only 2 and she’s able to launch herself about 9 inches up off the couch and land on her feet! Gotta get that kid into gymnastics!

I’ve posted some photos for October, so hop over to the photo gallery when you get a chance.

Also, I’ve re-opened comments on the blog, though I’ll be moderating (filtering) every single one to prevent another attack like the one I just recovered from.
